Remote Laboratory for Wireless Network Security

The course teaches the concept that may be difficult without practical implementations. By introducing a laboratory element it becomes easy for students to understand the concept of their course, they could also perform safe and security sensitive experiments in the controlled environment. The system consists of hardware implementation to support wireless security system and laboratory experiments designed to complement the lecture material. Students will be able to perform experiments on their own they can also be guided through structured laboratory procedures; virtualization will be used to support many hardware machines on one physical host. This reduces cost and increase system efficiency. Machines can be divided in to two groups, one machine creating legitimate traffic on a network while another performs any number of operations on it. Labs will be attempted to investigate vulnerabilities in primary Wi-Fi but also Bluetooth. Labs in other wireless standards will be enabled by utilizing software defined radios.
