Circuit position is the runtime blockage in the VLSI design
flow. A quicker placement tool would be very precious because it aids circuit
designers to reduce the design time. This project looks at the use of
mutli-core processors to accelerate circuit placement. A multi-thread execution
of a sequence placement algorithm will be developed and checked on a multi-core
system.
