FPGA-based NES Emulator

This project is based on showing emulation capabilities of reconfigurable hardware. Therefore, it has undertaken the job of understanding the original Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) design, and emulating the original processor and peripheral interface hardware. Given that the original NES design is well understood and documented in the emulation community, and that software based emulators handle full NES functionality, it is expected that a fully working FPGA-based emulation is sufficient in a two-semester time period.
