Circuit Placement with Multi-Core Processors

Circuit placement is the runtime bottleneck in the VLSI design flow. A faster placement tool would be very precious because it helps circuit designers to reduce the design time. This project presents the use of mutli-core processors to accelerate circuit placement. A multi-thread implementation of a sequence placement algorithm will be developed and tested on a multi-core system
